Arrive in Seward at your leisure and wander down to the water’s edge for views of Mt. Alice dressed in alpenglow before tucking in for a good night’s sleep. In the morning, meet your Seward Wilderness Collective guide at 8:30 am to catch a water taxi out to the Alpine Trail, scouting for porpoises, seals, and otters on the ride south. A day of epic hiking follows, as you venture through moss-covered spruce forests and above alder-fringed meadows to the high alpine zone for unparalleled views of Resurrection Bay and the Resurrection Peninsula. A return trip on the water taxi will have you back in town just in time to treat yourself to a fresh, creative, Alaska-vibe meal at the new Flamingo Lounge (don’t hesitate to try to bucket of Halibut and a craft cocktail – we won’t tell). You’ll be ready to turn in at your cozy cabin..

In the morning,  you’ll meet your Kayak Adventures guide for an Aialik Glacier Kayak Tour, combining an intimate wildlife boat tour with the opportunity to paddle near Kenai Fjords National Park’s largest and most actively calving tidewater glacier. During our boat tour to Aialik Bay, we’ll look for local wildlife like humpback whales, sea lions, harbor seals, mountain goats, sea otters, and more. From our kayaks, we’ll listen for the thundering of the glacier calving and watch chunks of ice plummeting into the sea.  After two days discovering the hidden gems and top locals’ picks in Seward, you’ll be brimming with a new understanding of this place, inspired by the connections you’ve made with small Alaskan-owned businesses, and empowered to care for the world around you.
