Pranayama + Meditation Workshop


Join guest teacher Kara Troglin (500 RYT) in this dynamic workshop as we practice different techniques of Pranayama (often translated as breathing exercise) and explore their effects on the nervous system and the mind. You will learn the calming, balancing and energizing effects of pranayama and how to integrate it into an asana and meditation practice. Through pranayama we can cleanse and clear energy pathways and help the mind to focus and become quiet, which in turn, leads to meditation. When practiced regularly, meditation can help us live our lives more fully and more peacefully. It can have many effects on our minds and bodies.

The workshop will include

- Gentle stretching to prepare the body for sitting
- Overview of what pranayama is and some techniques
- Pranayama practice
- Overview of meditation practice
- A short meditation practice
- A final relaxation

Open to all levels, beginners welcome.
